Question #6 - Topic 1

Sales reps at AW Computing need assistance from product managers when selling certain
products. Product managers do not have access to Opportunities but need to gain access
when assisting on a specific deal. How can the system administrator accomplish this?

A. Notify the product manager using opportunity update reminders
B. Use similar opportunities to show opportunities related to the product manager
C. Enable account teams and allow users to add the product manager
D. Enable sales teams and allow users to add the product manager

Comments for Question #6 - Topic 1 (8)

June 13, 2018, 09:22 PM
answer should be d bcoz sales reps . need assistance from pm when selling cetain products..
March 13, 2018, 07:56 PM
I'm trying to figure out why people keep saying, "there is no sales team." You can create a profile that's associated with the sales team, and this profile will have access to opportunities. The beauty of Salesforce is that you can customize it, so the team doesn't have to be called "opportunity team." Opportunities are standard objects in SF that the Sales Team so happen to have access to and the Product Manager doesn't have access too. Therefore, D is the correct answer. This relates to allowing users to sharing rules on accounts. Both teams have access to the Account Object, and sharing rules on accounts also provide access to related contracts and can provide access to related Contacts, Opportunities, and Cases. Essentially, the users are sharing their user records horizontally within the security model.
October 21, 2017, 11:36 PM
Enable account teams and allow users to add the product manager
October 18, 2017, 07:04 AM
Notify the product manager using opportunity update reminders
October 18, 2017, 07:04 AM
Notify the product manager using opportunity update reminders
October 11, 2017, 01:00 PM
Answer should be C. We can Enable Accoun team from Setup--Customize--Accounts--Account Team. And then In account team related list we can add the prodcut manager with opportunity access(Private,read/write or Read only)
August 6, 2017, 10:04 PM
Answer D is correct, except the term 'sales teams' should be replaced with 'opportunity teams' (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=salesteam_overview.htm&type=0&language=en_US&release=208.16)
July 12, 2017, 09:15 PM
Answer should be C. Cause there's no such thing as sales teams to associate with an account in Salesforce

Question #7 - Topic 1

Criteria-based sharing rules allow administrators to share records based on field values
rather than record ownership.

A. True
B. False

Comments for Question #7 - Topic 1 (3)

July 15, 2018, 09:49 AM
True, Criteria-based sharing rules determine whom to share records with based on field values in records. For example, let’s say you use a custom object for job applications, with a custom picklist field named “Department.” A criteria-based sharing rule could share all job applications in which the Department field is set to “IT” with all IT managers in your organization.
November 13, 2017, 04:21 PM
True but only if the user has CRED settings that enable access to the object in question
June 20, 2017, 12:29 PM
True is perfect

October 26, 2017, 06:14 AM
It should be record owner not Salesforce ID
October 10, 2017, 02:17 AM
It should be record/owner ID not SFDC id
June 20, 2017, 12:30 PM
Option B Salesforce ID

June 13, 2018, 04:52 PM

April 10, 2018, 09:32 PM
Standard profile permissions, meaning administrative permissions, general user permissions, and standard object permissions cannot be edited. Only if you clone the standard user profile can these settings be edited.
September 22, 2017, 06:40 AM
I think they mean that they should be cloned in order to be edited.
September 8, 2017, 12:48 AM
"Every org includes standard profiles that you can assign to users. In standard profiles, you can edit some settings." - https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=standard_profiles.htm&type=5

Question #11 - Topic 1

Level Security dictates that the field is hidden, how will the field appear to the user?

A. The field will be hidden from the user
B. The field will be read only
C. The field will be visible and editable to the user
D. None of the above

Question #12 - Topic 1

If a lead is converted without a value in the company field, what happens?

A. A Business Account is created
B. A Person Account is created
C. You will be prompted to decide whether to create a Person or a Business Account
D. Nothing

Comments for Question #12 - Topic 1 (6)

July 19, 2017, 04:32 PM
The question is poorly worded. What happens depends on whether Person Accounts are enabled for the org. If they are, then a Person Account will be created, as in option B. If they are not enabled, however, the user will see an error, and the lead will not be converted.
July 19, 2017, 03:06 PM
B is the correcte answer
July 17, 2017, 09:10 PM
Company is mandatory for a lead creation so Ans is D
July 12, 2017, 02:21 AM
If your organization uses person accounts, you can convert leads to either person accounts or business accounts. Leads with a blank Company field are converted to person accounts. The default person account record type for your profile is applied to the new person account. Note that you can only create leads with a blank Company field using the Force.com API. Leads with a value in the Company field are converted to business accounts. The default business account record type for your profile is applied to the new business account. As a best practice, use different lead record types and page layouts to differentiate leads that will be converted to person accounts from those that will be converted to business accounts. In particular, remove the Company field from the page layouts of leads that will be converted to person accounts, and make the Company field required on the page layouts of leads that will be converted to business accounts. If you create a lead, convert it, and then attach it to a person account owned by someone else, the person account owner becomes the contact owner. If you convert a lead owned by someone else and attach it to a person account that you own, the lead owner becomes the contact owner.
July 11, 2017, 09:55 AM
I think it's D-Nothing because A will never happen, B and C only when Person Account has been set-up for the org.
June 24, 2017, 06:44 AM
I think company field is mandatory in lead

Question #13 - Topic 1

The system administrator needs to ensure that all Leads coming from the website are
assigned a website lead queue, that all Leads for a recent trade show are assigned to Matt
Wilson and all other leads are assigned to Phil Smith. The system administrator will

A. Create 3 assignment rules
B. Create 1 assignment rule with multiple criteria entries
C. Create an assignment rule and 2 workflow rules
D. Use workflow rules to accomplish this

Comments for Question #13 - Topic 1 (11)

August 18, 2018, 06:15 PM
B is not the correct answer. Each assignment rule only has the ability to direct leads to one recipient, not direct between them, regardless of criteria created. Likewise, assignment rules use positive logic to direct lead & case flow, eg Opp.Amount > $100k -> User. A is correct. Three intended recipients for three lead flows require three rules.
July 15, 2018, 11:12 AM
Answer B, there can be many assignment rules on a lead object, but there can be only one active assignment rule on lead object that will get evaluated whenever leads get submitted.
April 10, 2018, 10:02 PM
I believe the keywords here is web lead queue. So first we create a queue called "web leads" then assign both Matt and Phil as users. We can then create the assignment rule whereby there would be two ordered entries, first entry checks for recent trade show and assigns to Matt if criteria isn't met then moves to number 2 and assigns to Phil.
October 28, 2017, 09:53 PM
Only one assignment rule can be active at one time but it can have multiple entries. So B is the correct answer.
October 18, 2017, 07:35 AM
A. Create 3 assignment rules
October 18, 2017, 07:19 AM
D. Use workflow rules to accomplish this
October 18, 2017, 07:19 AM
Create 3 assignment rules
October 18, 2017, 07:18 AM
a
September 27, 2017, 08:05 PM
All of the lead categories are not from the website. One is from the website, one is from a campaign and the other is not specified.
August 2, 2017, 02:09 AM
Answer B is correct. As per the Salesforce documentation, there should be only one active lead assignment rule per RULE TYPE. Here the rule type is web-generated leads. So, there should be only one assignment rule, but with three entries.
July 24, 2017, 12:55 PM
You have three different lead sources going to three different destination. You will first need to create the queue for web leads, but not sure how it all can be accomplished in a single rule. Also option A is also correct. If B is indeed correct then there should have been two correct answers.

March 23, 2018, 07:34 PM
https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=customize_automatedactions.htm&type=5 Source for the current answer being correct
October 21, 2017, 05:55 PM
Per Admin Essentials ADM201 Training course Workflow automates the following types of actions based on your organization's processes: Tasks—Assign a new task to a user, role, or record owner. Email Alerts—Send an email to one or more recipients you specify. Field Updates—Update the value of a field on a record. Outbound Messages—Send a secure, configurable API message (in XML format) to a designated listener. For example, workflow can: Assign follow-up tasks to a support rep one week after a case is updated. Send sales management an email alert when a sales rep qualifies a large deal. Change the Owner field on a contract three days before it expires. Trigger an outbound API message to an external HR system to initiate the reimbursement process for an approved expense report. Each workflow rule consists of: Criteria that cause the workflow rule to run. Immediate actions that execute when a record matches the criteria. For example, Salesforce can automatically send an email that notifies the account team when a new high-value opportunity is created. Time-dependent actions that queue when a record matches the criteria, and execute according to time triggers. For example, Salesforce can automatically send an email reminder to the account team if a high-value opportunity is still open ten days before the close date.

April 10, 2018, 11:13 PM
I believe the reason why the answer is false is this, there are 4 types of reports, Tabular, Summary, Matrix and Joined. There is no standard report for dashboards, standard report types are something different. And dashboards are tied to reports. So B. false is the correct answer.
June 7, 2017, 11:08 PM
Edit standard reports, save it as custom report and then use it in dashboards.

This is Incorrect Answers. Dashboard can be created from Standard Reports

Question #27 - Topic 1

Public groups can be used to simplify the creation of sharing rules for Administrators.

A. True
B. False

Comments for Question #27 - Topic 1 (2)

July 15, 2018, 12:50 PM
true, Public Groups are the standard sharing Groups Administrators can create and add to any Sharing Rule org-wide. An important note to keep in mind is that Personal Groups can only be seen and edited by the user creating them - meaning even Administrators cannot see or edit a Personal Group created by another user. If Personal Groups are being used, it is a best practice to train users to only include those absolutely necessary. If a larger amount of users is needed to view many records, end users should speak to their Administrators about creating and maintaining public rules instead.

1210 tabs, 255 apps and 100 custom fields are allowed, so answer should be C
August 17, 2017, 04:00 PM
Should be C as the developer cheatsheet here specifies: https://resources.docs.salesforce.com/206/latest/en-us/sfdc/pdf/salesforce_app_limits_cheatsheet.pdf The custom apps and custom tabs that are contained in a managed package that’s publicly posted on the AppExchange don’t count against the limits for your Salesforce edition. So even if they had reached the limit of 1210 tabs ( unlikely) since it is a managed package it wouldn't have counted.
June 27, 2017, 01:11 PM
Answer should be C not A as per cheetsheet

A cross object formula references fields from parent objects.

A. True
B. False

Comments for Question #35 - Topic 1 (2)

October 29, 2017, 02:06 AM
Such a tricky question. It can reference parent objects but also lookup relationships. Question doesn't include "only" from parent objects but looks like they are asking for the definition of cross object formula
September 29, 2017, 03:07 AM
Cross-object formulas are formulas that span two related objects and reference merge fields on those objects. Cross-object formulas can reference merge fields from a master (“parent”) object if an object is on the detail side of a master-detail relationship. Cross-object formulas also work with lookup relationships. You can reference fields from objects that are up to 10 relationships away. Cross-object formulas are available anywhere formulas are used except when creating default values.

Question #38 - Topic 1

The _______ determines if a user can read, create and edit Contact records, the
__________ determines if he can see/edit contact records owned by his subordinates.

A. Role, Profile
B. OWD, Sharing rules
C. Sharing rules, Role Hierarchy
D. Profile, Role

Comments for Question #38 - Topic 1 (2)

August 28, 2017, 03:05 PM
Agree with Omare83 -- very poorly worded question. D is the only possible answer to the first clause, but Role doesn't determine if he can contacts owned by his subordinates; it determines which contact records he can see by establishing who his subordinates are. This is faulty logic on the author's part.
July 24, 2017, 04:50 PM
Well you can always see the records of your subordinates (when the Grant Access to Subordinates is flagged) so it's more a Role Hierarchy that will tell you if you have subordinates or not. Also Sharing rules are used to understand if you have access to a specific record so I would phrase it differently without mentioning "Records" but "Objects". It would be clearer since Profile control user access to objects.

In the use of dashboards they are built off reports, since there are only 4 report types, tabular, summary, matrix and joined. B & D is correct. Check this out: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=reports_csf_tips.htm&type=5
April 27, 2018, 06:40 PM
Where can I find information about A - reports grouped by a custom summary formula result?
April 5, 2018, 11:16 PM
A summary formula can't reference another summary formula. You can’t group report data by summary formula columns. You can’t filter report data by summary formula columns. You can’t reorder summary formula columns. Before adding a summary formula column, group report data at least once. Summary formulas can contain 3900 or fewer characters. Regardless of the summary formula data type, your summary formula can contain fields of different data types, including: number, currency, percent, and checkbox (true/false) fields. For example, a summary formula in an Opportunities with Partners report can reference opportunity Amount or Stage Duration, as well as account Annual Revenue. In Salesforce Classic, dashboard and report charts that display values from summary formulas display decimal places using your default currency setting instead of what you specified for the formula. For example, if the summary formula specifies zero decimal places, no decimal places appear in columns, but chart values show the number of decimal places specified for your default currency (usually two decimal places). This applies to currencies, numbers, and percentages. When a field is deleted or is unavailable (for example, because of field-level security), all summary formulas that contain the field are removed from the report. The summary types Sum, Largest Value, Smallest Value, and Average are not available for use with the Record Count field. The Smallest Value summary type includes blank (null) or zero values in the summary formula calculation if these values are present in your report data. The Largest Value summary type includes the largest blank (non-null) value present in your report data. Percents are represented as decimals in summary formulas. 20% is represented as 0.20. Operators can be used to give fields in summary formulas a negative value. For example: {!EMPLOYEES:SUM} + - {!SALES:SUM}. For summary formulas on matrix reports, Salesforce calculates results for all formulas where the Where will this formula be displayed? option is not set to All summary levels. The formula determines the value returned. If null is returned, the cell will be empty. Summary fields on tabular, summary, and matrix reports can display up to 21-digits. Summary fields of 21 digits will display precisely, but more than 21 digits may not be precise. If “#Too Big!” appears in report cells, check your formula for calculations that could result in more than 18 digits. Avoid multiplying large numbers, raising a large number to a power, or dividing by a very small number. Formulas treat blank (null) report cells as zero values. “#Error!” displays on report cells whenever an error occurs while calculating a formula’s value. “#Error!” also displays when formulas divide by zero. To resolve the error, check your formula and provide an alternative value. Cross-block summary formulas are available for joined reports.

The answer should be A,B,D.

B. Validation rules are not triggered when importing data using the import wizard
C. Data should be de-duplicated in the import file prior to import
D. Currency field values will default to the personal currency of the record owner

Comments for Question #68 - Topic 1 (3)

June 9, 2018, 04:00 PM
The reason A is important, is that unless an Owner is specified, the Salesforce User doing the import will become the Owner of all the records being imported. That would mean the Admin would have to do another data job or use the Mass Transfer tool to change the Owners after the records are created. That will be much harder than setting the Owner before the import. Answer B will be taken care of by setting the record Owner properly as part of A Answer C should be clear -- there's never a good reason to create bad or duplicate data. It makes things confusing for your users and your reporting. Answer D is not even true.

This is incorrect. The answer is B. Here is the standard documentation: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=tracking_field_history_for_standard_objects.htm&type=5. In this documentation it is suggested that you should include the related list, but it is certainly not mandatory. I also tested in dev edition and found that the related list is not necessary.
October 29, 2017, 09:46 PM
B You can enable field history tracking without adding the related list to the page layout. I tested this in developer edition and made changes to a tracked field. I later added the related list to the page layout, viewed the history, and then went back and removed the related list. It is not necessary for an administrator to add the related list to enable field history tracking. Nothing in the salesforce documentation mandates adding the related list. https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=tracking_field_history.htm&type=0 Strictly following the word "must" in the question, the answer is B False.

a parent-child relationship.

A. True
B. False

Comments for Question #84 - Topic 1 (3)

Lookup fields all creation of Look Up relationship. Only Master Detail Relationship is equivalent of Parent Child relationship. Hence Answer is B.
July 12, 2018, 12:47 AM
I disagree with the "parent-child" part. On a Case, for example, I can look up to an Event that my customer attended. That doesn't mean that the Event is a child of the Case (or vice-versa). This is simply a relationship, not an inherited relationship.
April 8, 2018, 06:03 AM
Its incorrect - Lookup does not implement parent-child relation. The main concept of parent-child relation is every child record MUST be associated with a parent record, which goes with Mater-detail and not with Lookup .

B. Setup | Security Controls | Network Access and specify the team's range of IP

D. Contact salesforce.com as this feature must be enabled

Comments for Question #100 - Topic 1 (5)

December 31, 2019, 09:10 AM
B is adding trusted ip range, so does not related to the confined Team, so correct is C
November 10, 2017, 12:35 PM
This question is phrased to be a little tricky. So there are two types of IP ranges: Trusted IP ranges and Login IP ranges. Login IP ranges are the the IPs that allow the user to login. If the user tries to log in from and IP that is outside this range, they cannot log in. Trusted IP ranges are "whitelisted" ranges. Users within trusted ranges are not asked to verify their identities, users outside trusted ranges are. The login IP ranges are the strictest. You cannot log in at all, unless you are in the login IP range, even if you are in the trusted IP range. The question doesn't specify whether it is talking about trusted or login ranges, so it is hard. For B, if you go to setup -> security controls -> network access, here you can specify Trusted IP Ranges. Thus, this is not strict enough and B is wrong. In the team (or user) profile you may specify login ranges, and so C is the correct answer.
July 3, 2017, 08:09 PM
No, only C is correct. Setup | Security Controls | Network Access and specifying IP addresses doesn't require a verification code for those IP ranges. Any IPs outside of the specified range will still be allowed to login but with a verification code.
July 1, 2017, 10:11 AM
So B and C is correct?
June 20, 2017, 06:24 PM
Answer doesn't match the question
